Programs We Help Fund

Aldo Leopold Campfire Fund – Scholarships for economically-challenged students in summer camps
ARMS Science Field Trip support – We provide funds for transportation for afterschool programs to bring children to the Madison Children’s Museum or the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery Afterschool Science Expeditions. These serve high numbers of low-income students who would otherwise not have this opportunity.
Cambodian School Project – Financial support to assist rural Cambodians to build schools.
Camp Waubeek-Annual scholarships for disabled youths to attend one week of Camp.
Canyon Scholars – Provide fees for students at this school located in Chihuahua, Mexico
Cloud Forest School – Tuition assistance for students to attend this school in Monte Verde, Costa Rico.
Emerson Family Science Night-Our club funds and oversees the Emerson Family Science Night. We for food for about 225 people (children and adults). Kiwanis members also serve the food and help with the event.
Mendota Elementary School – Funds to purchase winter socks and boots for students without.
Salvation Army (Kids’ Cafe) – Provide funds to support the Kids’ Cafe
Simpson Street Free Press – Provide funds to support Simpson Street Free Press.
Sodiedad Amigos de Los Ninos, Honduras Orphange – Provide funds to support this orphanage.
The Village Health Project-Financial support to this UW-Madison registered student organization that carries out community-based projects with Lweza village in Uganda.
UW Arboretum Naturalist Class Presentations – Scholarships for students to attend naturalists’ lectures.
YWCA– We provide financial support to the Third Street Project, a program for single mothers to complete their education and allow them to seek employment and become productive members in society.
